The SkillsHub Mindset Camp

A life-changing experience at a remote campsite

How a boot camp is changing the lives of marginalised children

The SkillsHub Mindset Camp is a foundational programme designed to prepare marginalized youth for vocational training by addressing the psychological and emotional challenges that stem from poverty, trauma, and social vulnerability.

I came from a broken home, and I lost my sense of identity and a sense of responsibility. But coming here has given me an opportunity to discover an inner me, that I didn't know I had it.

Gaining self-confidence to take control of their lives

Rooted in Pestalozzi’s philosophy of nurturing the “head, heart, and hands,” the camp creates a safe, nature-based environment where participants heal, rebuild self-worth, and cultivate essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and time management.

Delivered through experiential and reflective learning, the camp combines physical and emotional challenges, group bonding, and values-based exercises to foster resilience, confidence, and a renewed love of learning. Guided by empathetic facilitators, mentors, and alumni role models, the programme emphasizes relational trust, peer support, and empowerment, helping young people reset limiting mindsets, envision brighter futures, and make informed choices about vocational pathways.

Ultimately, the SkillsHub Mindset Camp reduces dropout rates, strengthens motivation, and equips vulnerable youth to thrive both in training programmes and in life.
