Our alumni change their lives and those around them

Transforming lives and communities

Our alumni are not just transforming their lives; they are catalysts for change in their communities. We are proud that our alumni remain in their home countries, contributing to local communities and economies. Whether through public service, entrepreneurship, or supporting their families financially through roles as teachers, healthcare professionals, and social entrepreneurs, they are driving forward the development of their regions.

Our agents for change

We provide children and young adults with comprehensive education that equips them with diverse skills beyond traditional knowledge. This enables them to take control of their lives and break the cycle of poverty. But our ambition goes further; graduates leave with not only certificates but also tools to become changemakers and leaders for positive change. They can start and drive initiatives in their communities and countries, guiding underserved individuals toward a brighter future. Our programs create a ripple effect, benefiting many more marginalised people beyond our alumni.

Pestalozzi sparks success stories

Our programmes profoundly impact the lives of our students and their communities. Thanks to our Alumni programme we keep close contact to our former students. We are very proud that they remain in their home country using their Pestalozzi education to contribute to their fellow citizens. More than half of them work in public service as teachers or health care workers and 70% of all alumni are involved in community work.

Pestalozzi’s approach

Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi recognized the transformative power of education. He championed a holistic approach, emphasising the development of the whole person. By empowering and uplifting everyone, enabling everybody to make informed decisions, seeing the relevance of empathy, he envisioned a pathway to societal improvement and a more peaceful, secure world. He pioneered education leading to empowered citizens taking responsibility for themselves and society. We are the only international NGO implementing a modern interpretation of his principles to bring positive change.
